IMD (In Mould Decoration)

Decorated mouldings can be accomplished by direct printing
or In Mould Decoration.

DIRECT PRINTING

Plastic mouldings can be decorated by screen or pad printing directly onto the mould surface.

In the case of clear components, graphics can be printed on the second (bottom) surface to protect them from wear during use. This type of construction also facilitates backlighting for daylight and night time viewing.

IMD – RANDOM GRAPHICS

In mould decoration with random graphics (such as wood grain) enables greater design freedom, allowing surface decoration of curves and contours.

IMD – LOCATED GRAPHICS

In mould decoration with located graphics enables greater freedom and functional integration, allowing first (top) or second (bottom) surface decoration of curves and contours. In either case the graphics can be protected from wear during use. This type of construction also facilitates backlighting for daylight and night time viewing.
